Download ...

Directions

  1. Unzip the downloaded file to a directory (aka folder) that is within AutoCAD's Support File Search Path.
  2. Load EF.FAS using AutoCAD's APPLOAD command, the Startup Suite, or the command (load "EF.FAS")
  3. From AutoCAD's command line, type EF and follow the prompts.

Requirements

  • AutoCAD 2000+

Known Issues

None known.

Assumptions

The blocks with attributes contained in the original ZIP file must be somewhere in AutoCAD's Support File Search Path. You can modify them if you prefer a different size / appearance - just be aware that the program expects the filenames, orientation, origin, and insbase in each of the included DWG files.

Insertion scale of "1" yields blocks that are sized for printing at 1:1
EX: If you're working at 1"=20' in architectural units, and inserting in model space, you should enter 240 as the insertion scale.

The program tries to guess at a default insertion scale using the following rule:
  • If working in paperspace, insertion scale is 1.
  • If working in modelspace, insertion scale = dimscale.

Changelog

    December 30, 2005
  • set osnapcoord =1 during execution; set insunits=0 in all of the included symbols (don't get me started)
    February 1, 2004
  • Turned off attdia during the command if it was on.
    February 1, 2003
  • Changed default modelspace insertion scale to dimscale (was ltscale)
