Publishing via sheet set causes fatal errors PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 30 September 2007

In AutoCAD 2008, you may notice that publishing from the Sheet Set Manager causes fatal errors in some cases. So far, the user community hasn't established why some sheet sets cause fatal errors while others do not. What has been established is that sheet sets which cause fatal errors at publish time will always cause fatal errors as long as publishcollate is set to 1. Setting publishcollate to 0 seems to clear up the fatal errors.

Setting publishcollate to 1 is actually a very useful feature when creating PDFs and PLT files, so remember that it's a system (registry) saved variable that you may have to change back and forth manually to accommodate different situations.

Workarounds: As mentioned above, set PUBLISHCOLLATE to 0
First Appeared: AutoCAD 2008
Status as of 2009: (unknown - please email with any info)
